Free forest valuation

We value your forest free of charge: cadastral number, register data and a site visit. We get back to you within one working day. No obligation.

Forest valuation is the determination of a forest plot’s market value based on standing volume, species mix, age, land value and harvesting options. Motren carries out the valuation free of charge and provides a concrete written purchase offer.

What we assess

We value the land, not just the timber

  • Standing volume based on inventory data and inspection
  • Species mix, age and maturity
  • Assortment structure: sawlogs, pulpwood, firewood
  • Land value and possible further use
  • Access, terrain and wetness
  • Forest group and protected area restrictions

Process

How the valuation works

01

Register check

Using the cadastral number we check boundaries, purpose, restrictions and ownership data.

02

Inventory data

We review the management plan, national forest inventory data and aerial imagery.

03

Site visit

If needed we come out, measure the stands and assess access and harvesting conditions.

04

Written offer

We give a concrete price and explain how it is made up. The decision is yours.

Honestly

What we never do when valuing

  • We never charge for a valuation or a site visit
  • We never ask for preliminary or exclusive agreements
  • We never rush you or apply pressure
  • We never quote “today only” prices that vanish tomorrow

A valuation is valid for 30 days. If the market changes in that time, we say so openly.

Common questions

About the valuation

Is the valuation really free?

Yes. We carry it out at our own expense because it is how we find forests we would like to buy. You pay nothing and commit to nothing.

How long does it take?

We get back to you within one working day and arrange the inspection. The written offer follows within 3–5 working days after the visit, depending on distance and plot size.

Can I get a valuation if I am not planning to sell yet?

Yes. Many owners simply want to know what their property is worth. We tell you the price and leave you in peace until you get back in touch.

How does your valuation differ from an independent appraiser?

A certified appraiser prepares an official report needed for a bank or court and charges for it. Our valuation is a purchase offer: a concrete sum we are prepared to pay.
